When asked what his goals and aspirations are, he has some very, very lofty and very humanitarian aspirations!
Interviewer: What are your aspirations and how will they effect the world as we know it?
HRH ABA:
"I want to be.......the first Saudi-American Royal Prince to reach Space, The moon and mars! Though there are......matters here on earth that must be attended to first."
Interviewer: ....and what would those be?
His Royal Highness Prince Adam Bin Alwaleed Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud: "First, I want to solve Homelessness for everyone going forward. I am a firm believer in the addage; If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, if you TEACH......a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime! I have already inspired a Pakistani Prince, named Prince Umair Ahmed to solve Homelessness in Pakistan using this philosophy."
Interviewer: Those are very Noble aspirations. Where do you see your music taking you from here?
HRH ABA: Well, since it is always NOW, I focus my energy and power on what is happening in each moment. The future is never promised. What my music IS, came from a part of me. The energy that is me, is also alive within me. Life, 🧬 and Energy 🧬 are one and the same, It's the feeling that takes the listeners to utopia and back. I foresee that my music will inspire many, many others and that 40% of the funds from my music will go to solving Homelessness, Hunger, and to creating a much needed peaceful and livable world.
Interviewer: What made you choose the music industry?
HRH ABA: I was just 5 years old when I picked up my first guitar 🎸. My adoptive mother bought me a plastic "Johnny Cash" guitar from Sears. I started taking off all strings except for the low E string. I then began to play it using that one string....because I liked the way the bass sounded. I made entire songs using that one string at a time philosophy. That then gew from one guitar to having my first 3/4 guitar and blues guitar lessons from a member of Goerge Hawk's "Los Lasers" band. I eventually aquired 6 guitars, one of which was a Silvertone Electric Guitar (the vintage guitar with the Amp built into the case) which by the way, I played on stage at the age of 10 for a talent show at my elementary school. I also owned one Casio Mt 45 Keyboard and a Dr Rhythm DR 550 Drum Machine as well.
Interviewer: I'm sure you kept your mother awake with all of that music!
HRH ABA: (laughing) Yes.....at times....I did.
Interviewer: Were any of your family members into music?
HRH ABA: Yes, as a matter of fact, My Adoptive Uncle is none other than Gordon Gano of the Violent Femmes and The Ryans band. My adoptive mother is also a well-known country music artist whom recorded music on The Violent Femmes Hallowed Ground album on the song "Jesus Walking on The Water". Miss Cynthia Gayneau has also influenced me and supported my music as I grew up. She was very impressed with how I used the two Desktop cassette recorders to record music in layers on tape, first recording the drums from my drum machine, then using my rhythm guitar skills, I would play back the drums from one tape while playing to the drums with my guitar onto the second tape. Back then, it was a genius concept given what I had to work with.
Interviewer: What were your Musical Influences growing up?
HRH ABA: As a young pre-teen and teen, I listened to greats like Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, T-Bone Burnett, Johnny Cash, The Carter Family, Otis Redding, The Supremes, Barry White, Al Green, Willy Neilsen, Peter Gabriel, Sting, The Police, Eric Clapton, Donna Somners, La Toya Jackson, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, The Sherelles, The Four Tops, Fats Domino, just to name a few.
Interviewer: That sure is a well-rounded assortment of great artists from a lot of different music genres.
What has made you successful so far?
HRH ABA: Well, Like Edison with the attempts at the lightbulb, I am successful at learning. Every mistake is another lesson. I learn 2,000 ways that it doesn't work, and on the...OTHER side, I also learned a few ways that it DOES work. See, like rhe song says, "I've got the Midas Touch, everything I touch turns to gold" because I am a sucessful learner. I am successful at everything I do, even at failure!
